The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed regarding the significant number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be a sassa status check result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office committed to sassa status check service the area daily. The assistance position designed for intervention encounters a higher influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to allow the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
